How do PicnicHealth’s AI features work?
Important: AI tools are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
The Picnic AI assistant provides tools to help you make sense of your medical records. These include AI-powered search, smart highlights, pinboards and blurbs to describe different tests, procedures or medications.
Considerations when using AI features
We hope that Picnic can provide you with additional clarity when viewing your medical data. However, it is important to keep in mind the following:
AI-generated content is for informational purposes only: AI features are intended for informational purposes only. Outputs may not reflect the most current medical research or guidelines. You should always consult with a healthcare provider before making any decisions based on this information.
AI is not always accurate: due to the complexities and limitations of current AI technologies, the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated content can vary. You should use your judgment when reading AI generated content and should continue to do your own research. If you come across something that you feel is inaccurate, please reach out to us at help@picnichealth.com. Your feedback is valuable in allowing us to continue to improve these features.
AI is not a substitute for a doctor: AI-generated content should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice from a physician, nurse or other licensed clinical professional. Our AI features are based on a baseline foundation of medical knowledge, however it does not take into account your full personal circumstances and how something may apply to you individually.
How data is used
At PicnicHealth, we primarily use our own models to provide AI-generated content and power our features. Data you highlight or input when using AI features is only used for generating responses or outputs. Your data is not stored anywhere outside of PicnicHealth.

Pinboards are a great way to keep track of important items in your medical history. Our AI assistant can create pinboards in a single click from suggestions based on your records, by collating the most relevant records related to your journey, like imaging, procedures, and specialist visits.
To create a new smart pinboard:
- Navigate to the Health Dashboard
- Click Create a new Pinboard to see a list of suggestions
- Select a suggestion from the list to create your Pinboard
Note:
- Smart Pinboards are intended to be a starting point that you can continue to refine by either unpinning existing items, or pinning missing items from your records.
- To unpin an item, click the menu button an click Unpin
- To pin something else, find the relevant item in your medical records, and click the thumbtack icon. You'll be presented with a list of existing pinboards that you can add the item to, or you can create a new one from scratch.
