Navigating PicnicHealth

Once you log in, you’ll land on your home screen, where you can access key areas of your account:

Available to all users

  • Health Dashboard — Access your records and health tools

  • Timeline — View your medical records, organized by date

  • Care Plan — Review your Unified Care Plan and clinical recommendations from the PicnicHealth Virtual Clinic team

  • Care Team — See the list of doctors and providers we collect records from

  • Share — Digitally share your records with a doctor or family member

  • Settings — Update your personal information and preferences (top right corner)

  • Contact Us — Get help at any time, available throughout the platform

  • Rewards — Track and claim compensation, including for study activities

Study participants have a dedicated Research Dashboard, where they can complete their study activities and monitor their participation status.


Your Health Dashboard

Your Health Dashboard is the first thing you see when you log in and is available to all PicnicHealth users. It is designed to give you a quick overview of your healthcare tools and easy access to all PicnicHealth features.

What you will find on your Health Dashboard:

AI Search bar — Type a question or keyword to search your medical records using Picnic, your AI health assistant.

Pinboards — Personalized collections of your most important records, organized by health topic or event.

Trends — Sections showing how your lab results and vitals (like blood pressure or weight) have changed over time.

Medication List — An up-to-date list of your current and past medications, automatically updated as new records are collected.

Unified Care Plan — A personalized preventative care guide that compares your health history against established guidelines to identify recommendations..

Each of these features is described in more detail in the sections below.


Viewing Your Medical Records (Visit Timeline)

Your Visit Timeline shows all of your medical records organized by date, visit type, and doctor. As records are collected from your providers, they will appear here.

To view your records:

  1. From your Health Dashboard, click the "Visit Timeline" section or from the app, click "My Timeline" in the left-side navigation menu.

  2. Your records will be listed in order by date. Scroll up or down to browse.

  3. Click on any record to open and read it.

To filter records by a specific doctor or provider:

  1. Click the filter icon at the top right of your Timeline.

  2. A dropdown of filter options will appear.

  3. Select the filter you want to view and click "Apply."

To download a specific record:

  1. Click on the record you want to download to open it.

  2. Click "Open in New Tab."

  3. Once it opens, save or download the PDF to your device.

To download all of your records at once:

  1. In your Timeline, click the three-dot icon next to the filter icon at the top right of the screen.

  2. Select "Download All Records."

  3. All of your documents will download together.

To report an error in a record:

  1. Click on the record with the issue.

  2. Click the three dots in the top bar of that visit and select "Report Issue."

  3. Our team will review and correct it.

Note: When you first see your Timeline, it may not be complete. PicnicHealth is still working to collect records from all of your providers. This is normal — records are added over time.


Viewing Your Imaging (X-Rays, MRIs, CT Scans)

PicnicHealth gives you direct access to your original imaging files — not just the written reports. This includes MRIs, X-rays, CT scans, and more.

To view imaging:

  1. Click the Imaging section from your Health Dashboard.

  2. Use the side panel to click on the record to open it.

  3. You will be able to view the actual images directly in the platform, along with any written reports.

You do not need a special program or viewer — PicnicHealth displays imaging files directly in your browser.


Tracking Your Labs, Vitals, and Medications

Your Health Dashboard includes tools to help you monitor your health over time.

Viewing lab and vital trends:

  1. Click into the “Labs”, “Procedures” or “Vitals” section.

  2. Use the side panel to click on the record to open it.

  3. A chart will appear showing how that measurement has changed across your visits.

  4. Results outside the normal range will be highlighted so they are easy to spot.

Viewing your medication list:

  1. Click into the Health Dashboard, find the "Medications" section.

  2. Your current medications will be listed, along with start dates, dosages, and frequency where available.

  3. Medications that are no longer active will appear under a "Previously Taken" section.

  4. This list is updated automatically as new prescriptions appear in your collected records.

Viewing your Health Snapshot:

Your Health Snapshot is a brief summary of your recent health history — useful for sharing with a new doctor or quickly reviewing your care.

  1. Click “check it out” under the "Health Snapshot" section to view the full summary.

  2. To print or share it, click the print or download option within the snapshot.


Adding a Doctor or Provider

If you have a doctor or care provider who is not yet listed in your account, you can add them so PicnicHealth can request records from them.

To add a provider:

  1. Click "Care" in the top left corner of the page.

  2. Click "Add Provider."

  3. Enter the provider's name, practice or hospital, and any other information requested.

  4. Click "Add Doctor" to save.

PicnicHealth will then reach out to that provider to request your records. You do not need to contact the provider yourself.


Updating Your Personal Information

You can update your name, date of birth, contact details, and other information in your account Settings.

If you need to let PicnicHealth know about a previous or alternate name (for example, a name change due to marriage), update this in your account settings as well so we can find your records under all names you have used.

If you have any trouble updating your information, reply to any email from our team or call us and we will update it for you.

To update your information:

  1. Click the Settings icon in the top right corner.

  2. Find the section you want to update and make your changes.

  3. Click "Save" when finished.

To update your signature:

  1. Go to Settings in the top right corner.

  2. Click "Edit Signature" under the Saved Signatures section.

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to add or update your signature.
